Turning the training into graduate credit
Any teacher who wants graduate credit for the day can get it through University of Massachusetts Global. Up to four graduate-level semester credits per seminar are available, and the university is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
Who pays for the credit? Each teacher pays the fee directly to UMass Global, separate from the training cost, after filling in the registration form given out at the end of the training.
After the training day, teachers who want the credit put the training to work in a practicum in their own classrooms. They have six months to finish it, and credit is awarded on completion. Reach Sandra Harrington at sandycarpenter555@yahoo.com or 832-454-9485 with any credit questions.
